## Built Awesome Card Simplification Hotfix 7

- Renames `Built Different` to `Built Awesome`.
- Keeps exactly three cards visible initially (`Privacy First`, `Local Compilation`, `Live Collaboration`) with the existing accessible Show more/Show less caret revealing the remaining nine.
- Removes `texise-why-card-visual`, `FeatureVisual`, `MiniVisual`, and all mini-workspace styling so the cards are simpler and shorter.
- Reduces desktop card minimum height to `12.25rem` and mobile to `11.5rem`.
- Sets `.texise-why-card-pin` to `background: #f5f3ed`.
- Rewrites card copy into short direct sentences and removes hyphenated expanded headers.
- Preserves the full Hotfix 6/5 hero and editor changes unchanged. Focused BF39 regression: **16/16 PASS**.

## Feature Showcase Hotfix 6

- Adds a new `Why TeXise? / Built Different` homepage section immediately after the hero, adapted to the requested Prefix-style card language while keeping TeXise branding and truthful product claims.
- Exactly three large TeXise-yellow cards are visible initially: `Privacy First`, `Local Compilation`, and `Live Collaboration`.
- `Show more` reveals nine additional cards (`Visual + Source`, `Multi-file Projects`, `Terminal + TexLab`, `Git Workflows`, `Overleaf ZIP Import`, `Paper Memory`, `PDF + SyncTeX`, `Templates`, `Optional AI`); `Show less` collapses them again.
- Cards use TeXise Moranga display headings, body copy, a white mini-workspace strip, and a small protruding icon badge; no Prefix/Pixi/Thetapad branding or external reference assets are copied.
- The disclosure control is a native button with `aria-expanded` / `aria-controls` and a rotating caret; reduced-motion removes card/caret animation.
- Preserves Hotfix 5 hero corrections: wider rounded desktop PDF, Terminal confined to Source/Visual column, body-font `@TeXiser`, exact 4% yellow hero gradient, and configured Pro CTA.
- Focused BF39 regression: **16/16 PASS**. Static release audit: **356/356 PASS**. SaaS audit: **44/44 PASS**. Native server: **76/76 PASS**. Deployment/config: **16/16 PASS**.

## Hero Layout / CTA Hotfix 5

- `.texise-home-hero-v2` now uses exactly `linear-gradient(180deg, color-mix(in srgb, var(--texise-yellow) 4%, var(--background)) 0%, var(--background) 25%, var(--background) 100%)`.
- The desktop `.texise-hero-pdf-page` grows to `min(94%, 15rem)` with `.55rem` rounded corners.
- The simulated Terminal is rendered inside `.texise-hero-workspace-source`; opening it splits only the Source/Visual column into editor + 10rem Terminal while Files and PDF retain their full grid height.
- The floating `@TeXiser` CTA uses `var(--texise-font-body)` again.
- Directly below the hero title, `Open Workspace` links to `/projects` and outlined `Buy Pro $29` uses the runtime public `shopUrl` sourced from `TEXISE_SHOP`. No storefront URL is hard-coded.
- If `shopUrl` has not loaded or is not configured, the Pro CTA is rendered disabled rather than linking somewhere incorrect.
- Focused BF39 regression: **15/15 PASS**.

## Source Reveal Masking / Copy Hotfix 4

- Source comparison layer now has a fully opaque TeXise background at both the clipped layer and Source preview root, preventing Visual manuscript text from showing through Source code.
- Hero eyebrow: `Local-first Overleaf alternative - LaTeX editor.`
- Description begins: `A browser-first LaTeX workspace for scientific writing.`

# BF39 Homepage Hero implementation state

Release: **TeXise R14.28.20 Build Fix 39 — Source/Visual Reveal + Mobile Toolbar Hotfix 3**
Package version: **1.28.20**
Collaboration: **TX7.2.3 unchanged**
Date: **2026-08-23**

## Scope

BF39.2 extends the public homepage simulation with a Source↔Visual reveal slider and makes the real editor toolbar horizontally scrollable on mobile. It also applies Moranga to the floating `@TeXiser` CTA and removes the decorative hero glow. Collaboration, review, compiler, accounts, TexLab, cookie-consent and BF38 analytics semantics are unchanged.

## Hero hierarchy

1. `Local-first Overleaf alternative - LaTeX editor.`
2. `Your Research. Your Device.` / `Your Privacy.`
3. A taller interactive **simulated** TeXise editor session.
4. `A browser-first LaTeX workspace for scientific writing. Compile locally, collaborate peer-to-peer, and keep your research truly private.`
5. Circular-check capabilities: `Research`, `Run Codes`, `Document in TeX`.

Desktop headline sizing follows the requested Prefix-style scale and caps at `3.5rem`. The workspace is separated from the headline by a larger gap and uses a ~70rem maximum width with a ~27.5rem main workspace body before title/toolbar/status chrome.

## Interactive simulation

`hero-workspace-preview.tsx` owns only component-local React state:

- **Source and Visual stay mounted together.** Visual is the full underlying pane; Source is clipped above it at an initial 64% reveal.
- A TeXise-yellow Source↔Visual divider automatically oscillates between about 22% and 78%, can be dragged by mouse/touch/pen, supports keyboard slider controls, and pauses after direct interaction.
- The Source/Visual toolbar buttons move the same divider toward the requested mode rather than mounting a real editor.
- **Compile** enters `compiling` for 900ms, replaces PDF content with a loader, increments a presentation-only PDF revision, fades the PDF page back in and briefly reports `Compiled` / `Updated just now`.
- On mobile, Compile switches the narrow mock from the editor pane to the simulated PDF loader/output; choosing Source or Visual returns to the editor.
- **Terminal** is deliberately highlighted with TeXise yellow and a one-time invitation glow. Clicking it opens a dark simulated local terminal with `python analysis.py`, row/mean/std-dev results and an `Analysis complete.` message. Clicking Terminal again or the close button dismisses it.
- `TexLab · Pro`, AI, Review, Navigator, TikZ and decorative Share remain visual/presentational only.
- Automatic reveal movement pauses while Terminal is open and is disabled entirely when reduced motion is preferred.

The homepage does **not** initialize CodeMirror, PDF.js, BusyTeX, MathLive, ProjectService, Yjs/WebSocket collaboration, real Terminal/TexLab, AI workers or any compile/network call.

## Responsive and accessibility behavior

- Desktop: Files + Source/Visual + PDF.
- Tablet: Source/Visual + PDF; Files hidden.
- Mobile homepage mock: editor-focused; Compile temporarily reveals simulated PDF output.
- Real mobile editor: `.texise-editor-toolbar` uses native horizontal scrolling, no wrapping, hidden scrollbars and non-shrinking controls.
- Terminal opens by redistributing the fixed mock shell instead of initializing a real terminal.
- Functional controls are native `button` elements with focus-visible styling and `aria-pressed` where appropriate.
- Decorative non-functional toolbar controls are spans and accessibility-hidden.
- The capability row preserves the Biome-safe explicit `role="group"` + `aria-label`.
- `prefers-reduced-motion: reduce` disables autonomous Source/Visual movement and the entrance/spinner/PDF/terminal/caret/invitation animations/transitions.
- The page retains exactly one hero H1.

## Verification

Final source-tree gates before packaging:

- BF39 focused regression: **14/14 PASS**
- BF38: **11/11 PASS**
- BF37: **14/14 PASS**
- BF36: **8/8 PASS**
- BF35: **16/16 PASS**
- BF34: **14/14 PASS**
- BF33: **22/22 PASS**
- Runtime hardening: **101/101 PASS**
- Static release audit: **356/356 PASS**
- SaaS static audit: **44/44 PASS**
- Native server tests: **76/76 PASS**
- Deployment/config tests: **16/16 PASS**
- Lock/dependency/public-barrel/template checks: **PASS**
- Changed TS/TSX parse/transpile: **PASS**

The local source tree has no installed monorepo `node_modules`; dependency-backed `tsgo`, Biome, Vitest, Vite and Playwright are therefore **NOT RUN locally** and remain deployment/release-quality gates.
